Head of UN Political Affairs in Sri Lanka

19 July 2017, Colombo: 

Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs, Jeffrey Feltman, arrived in Sri Lanka on Wednesday, 19 July for a three day visit.

This is the Under-Secretary-General’s second visit to Sri Lanka and is a follow up to his 2015 visit, to take stock of progress in the country and engage national stakeholders on the peacebuilding process.

During his visit, Mr. Feltman will meet with government officials and leadership of the Tamil National Alliance.  He will also travel to the Eastern Province and meet with representatives of the diplomatic community, civil society and religious leadership.
