Tens of thousands of people around the world are taking to the streets today to mark May 1st. What else is new? Well, plenty.
The United Nations Population Fund, handed over medical equipment worth USD 210,000 to the Governor of the Northern Province, Major General G.A. Chandrasiri, at a ceremony held at the Governor’s Office. The medical equipment will help to meet the reproductive health needs of women and girls in the North, particularly those giving birth and their newborns.
