Peacebuilding Priority Plan

To guide wider and longer term support for peacebuilding, the UN and the Government have finalised a Peacebuilding Priority Plan (PPP) in close consultation with civil society and development partners. Informed by a Peacebuilding Context Assessment, the PPP will be a common framework, through which the UN and other development partners can align their support against nationally identified priorities, and in so doing ensure a coordinated approach. The framework identifies key strategic priorities in the areas of i) transitional justice; ii) reconciliation; iii) good governance; and iv) resettlement and durable solutions, whilst also including a strong focus on gender and youth.
